Gender: Female
Appearance: Short and kind of stocky; she's curvy, but she's got muscle, especially in the arms. She's out in the sun a lot, so she should, in theory, be tan, but her natural skin tone is super pale so she tends to just burn. Freckles GALORE. She also has long, bright red hair, so yes, ginger. Green eyes, very expressionate.
Backstory: Riggit's lived a fairly normal life for a citizen of District 10, working in various animal-related jobs. Her parents work a much larger operation at a pig farm, but they also own a lot of goats and chickens, which Riggit's several younger brothers and sisters manage. As the oldest, Riggit is allowed to have an outside job, and she works at a butcher's shop. Of course, this doesn't stop her from doing chores around the house/farm, too.
For the most part, she's sort of raised her siblings, since her parents are exceptionally busy people. She's very protective of them, and has been taking out the tesserae whenever needed so that they won't have to. Sadly this has now resulted in her being reaped for the Games.
Personality: Riggit is quiet and soft-spoken most of the time, choosing to keep her opinions to herself. On the rare instances that she does speak, it's usually to end an argument by taking sides (or declaring both parties dumb) or to say something that she thinks no one else has brought up. Basically she doesn't like to speak unless she's contributing something new to the conversation. She pays attention, though, she's very observant, taking things in and filing them away for later. She tries to be optimistic, even in bad situations, but she does cry easy. Will usually try to cheer other people up, though, because that makes her feel better in turn. Not used to keeping things for herself, she is liable to give them to others.
Notable Traits:
- Handy with knives, especially carving and butchering knives.
- One of her jobs at the slaughterhouse is actually killing the animals, so she can definitely swing a hammer (or perhaps an axe) if needed.
- She strong, basically.
- Tends to cover her mouth when she laughs or anything like that.
